This is another old time recipe that was easy to make vegan. My mother in law says, you have to experiment a little bit with this and add more soy milk if it’s too thick and more powdered sugar if it’s too thin. Ingredient amounts are approximate but should get you there.
5 minutes to prepare
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup vegan margarine
2 tsps vanilla extract
2 tablespoons soy milk
This one is easy! Just add all the ingredients to the bowl and MIX!
Add food coloring if desired and stir it up!
Keep stirring, adding more food coloring until it’s where you want it to be….

Let’s celebrate! Nothing says celebrate more than chocolate cake. This is our go to recipe. We make it for any birthday when the request is chocolate! It’s one of Connie’s old recipes that just happens to be vegan.
It’s a family tradition to bake and decorate sugar cookies for Christmas. This is a very old recipe that we veganized easily by substituting vegan butter for the butter and egg replacer for the eggs. See the frosting recipe here.
I’ve been wanting to try substituting half the oil in our crazy chocolate cake recipe for a long time. The trouble is, every time we’re making a cake it’s a special occasion and I never feel like I should experiment on somebody’s birthday cake. Well, my sister in law came to visit and she suggested I try it for HER birthday cake. So I finally did! And guess what? It’s awesome. I think it’s even better than the original.
