Vegan For Life

Vegan for Life: Everything You Need to Know to Be Healthy and Fit on a Plant-Based Diet by Jack Norris and Virginia Messina

If you love a vegan, I highly recommend you buy them this book!  The authors are Registered Dieticians and vegan.  It goes through every nutrient you need to consider as a vegan and has lots of information about various stages of life and how to make sure you are getting what you need through your vegan diet.

It “debunks some of the most persistent myths” too.  I think it should be required reading for any vegan.  I’m thankful for this book and immediately started supplementing with B12 after reading it.  It’s also responsible for me looking deeper into the variety of things I’m eating to make sure I’m getting what I need.

As Jeff and I are working on a 30 day meal plan, which we plan to make available on the site soon, we’ve considered everything the authors are saying here.  Because each person’s needs vary at different stages of life and vary based on activity levels, body size, gender, etc., things like serving size and supplements should be analyzed by every individual.  You need to be your own advocate and you need excellent information. You know your body best and reading this book will help you make sure you are healthy and feeding your body what it needs.

Thanks Dad for getting me this book for Christmas!!  🙂
